With the release of Dynamics NAV 5.0, Microsoft added SMTP support. They now have an automation control that will connect to a SMTP server and send mail. This means no more outlook issues when trying to email from NAV.
The automation control can easily be used in previous versions of NAV without too much work. Just copy the dll and register it and you're good to go.

This blog will feature Dynamics development tips, tricks, advice and more for the Dynamics products NAV and AX.
I've worked with Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) for almost 9 years as a developer, I'm just getting into Dynamics AX.
I hope I can help newbies (like myself in regards to AX) as well as people who have worked with these two products for a while. I hope to learn from others who find the time to read and write comments on this blog.
